Dyfed-Powys Police are looking to recruit more support from the Welshpool area.
An open session will be held next week promoting the work of Police Community Support Officers (PCSO’s) which the force describes as a “rewarding career, but it is not just any job”.
The session will provide information and encouragement to interested applicants to guide them through the recruitment and selection process.
These workshops are aimed at promoting awareness of the role of a PCSO, how to write a successful application form and encouraging applications from under-represented groups. Current PCSOs will also be present to talk about their role.
The session will be held at The Elephant & Castle Hotel, Newtown, from 6-8pm on August 10.
“Dyfed-Powys Police welcomes you to use the Welsh Language during the event,” said a spokesperson. “If you wish to do so then please let us know prior to the event.”
More information is available through Nia Rees on 01267 226119 or email equalityanddiversity@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk.
Applications will open on August 15.
