Let’s show Britain that Welshpool’s ‘The One’

We know how lucky we are to call Welshpool our home, but now we can show the rest of Britain just how special the town is.

Welshpool Town Council has entered The British High Street Awards, and out of the blue, they were contacted by BBC’s The One Show last night who will be broadcasting live from the Town Hall tonight (Tuesday).

“It appears they (The One Show) are quite interested in Welshpool,” said Town Clerk, Robert Robinson. “It will do the town no harm!

“They are inviting anyone who wishes to attend to gather at the Town Hall for 7pm. The Mayor will be there along with the Town Clerk. Let’s support our traders and put on a good show.”

The British High Street Awards team are expected to be in Welshpool on Friday.
