Thieves pinch disability ramp

Thieves have this afternoon stolen a ramp used to help transport disabled customers by one of the town’s taxi companies.

Wright’s Taxis told us that the incident happened between 2.55pm-3.20pm when it was placed behind their vehicles next to the Tourist Information Centre.

“We’re sorry to all the wheelchair users whom we will be unable to transport now,” said the company’s Helen Wright, who added that they had only purchased the ramp last week.
