More details are emerging of the police apprehension of four men suspected of carrying out three local business break-ins on Friday night.
The four men, described as coming from outside of the area, had stolen a van and committed two break-ins at businesses in Welshpool before another in Newtown.
However, police were on their tail and Newtown officers apprehended them leaving an industrial estate. A large number of tools were recovered.
All four have been charged with the three break-ins as well as taking the vehicle without the owner’s consent.
Three have been remanded in custody to appear before magistrates on Tuesday and the fourth released on conditional bail.
