The man accused of murdering Welshpool man Charlie Birch, 39, (pictured) and attempting to murder his friend, Will Pritchard, 32, has pleaded not guilty to the charges today in Paphos, Cyprus.
The 35-year-old defendant, who cannot be identified under Cypriot law, was remanded in custody to appear for trial on January 29.
The pair were on holiday on the island with family - including Charlie’s two daughters - when they were involved in a suspected hit-and-run in the street during the early hours of June 24.
Police later found a blue car in the sea at Agios Georgios in Pegeia.
