An event is being held this Wednesday in town to mark SMART Recovery Awareness day.
This day is open to all from professional, peers, family and friends – anyone who has seen and experienced the impact of addiction on our communities.
“We will be holding a SMART Recovery Awareness day on October 17 where you will gain insight into what SMART is, how it works and have an opportunity to attend a live mock meeting, gaining further knowledge and understanding of our programme that is designed to support those struggling with any type of addictive behavior,” said a spokesperson.
The event will be held at the COWSHACC in Berriew Street Car Park (pictured).
