Welshpool man had thousands of indecent images
A Welshpool man has admitted possession of thousands of indecent images and videos of children after a police raid on his Salop Road home.
The Shropshire Star is reporting that Keith Martin Charles Simpson, 43, had his house raided on January 10 this year as part of a police investigation.
He appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday where he admitted all five charges.
Between August 1, 2017, and January 11, 2018, Simpson was charged with making 395 category A images of children, 201 category B images and 2,357 category C images.
He also admitted charges of possessing 21 prohibited images of a child, and possession of an extreme animal pornographic image.
Of the 51 videos found at his property, police classed 25 videos as extreme with some material involving children as young as three years old.
Magistrates have sent the case to Mold Crown Court for sentencing on November 22.
