Welshpool Society meeting Tuesday

The first meeting of The Welshpool Society 2018-2019 season will be held in The Corn Exchange, Welshpool Town Hall, on Tuesday at 7.30pm.

The speaker will be Chris Martin who is well known locally as Regional Archaeologist for the Clwyd- Powys Archaeological Trust.

The title of his talk is “Looking beneath the ground from above” and will focus on the use of aerial archaeology and other techniques used in archaeology including remote sensing, geophysical surveys, the use of LIDAR and of drones with special reference to the Welshpool area.

Admission is £2.50 and tea and coffee will be available.
