Ceremony to end Poppy Appeal

Welshpool’s tremendous efforts to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War One will come to ceremonial end on tomorrow (Sunday).

A ceremony marking the close of the town’s Poppy Appeal will be held from 2pm at the Tourist Information Centre.

The total amount raised through donations will be revealed, and there will be refreshments in the centre available for all.
