Police appeal after Saturday night fight

An investigation is underway after a 30-year-old man was punched and kicked by a mob on Saturday night.

The incident started on The Cross at around 1.30am, and continued down Severn Street.

“Due to the pubs not long having closed there were a number of passers-by in the area at the time,” said a police spokesperson. “Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Welshpool Police (on 101).”
