With the temperatures plummeting towards, and below, zero this weekend, our thoughtful youngsters have provided a timely reminder that there are many who need our help.
Members from Welshpool Sharks Swimming Club collected a huge amount of food and personal hygiene products in the run-up to Christmas which will be handed to the Welshpool and District Food Bank.
“All items were collected over a period of two months,” said membership secretary, Hayley Jones. “The members brought in an item every time they turned up to a swimming session in the two months prior to Christmas.
“The idea behind it was to give a little back to our community and to understand that not everyone is as fortunate as ourselves.”
