One of Welshpool's leading amateur musical groups from the past comes back to life this Saturday at the Methodist Church.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s the St Mary’s Singers performed concerts and staged musical productions which proved extremely popular. The final production being ‘White Horse Inn’ in 1984.
Captured on video and now transferred to DVD, the production will be shown on the giant screen at the church from 7pm. Refreshments will be served during the interval. Admission is £5 and doors open at 6.30pm.
Proceeds will go to the town’s Senior Citizens Party which takes place next week.
