Heulwen Trust joins day of action
As part of the national initiative, sponsored by Barclays PLC, organisers Euan’s Guide co-ordinate a day of action to encourage people and businesses to make a special effort to accommodate people with disabilities.
As part of the Disabled Access Day, the Heulwen Trust will offer disabled people and a carer a free trip from Welshpool along the Montgomeryshire Canal.
At 11am and 2pm, the Heulwen Trust will be operating their specially adapted for step-free wheelchair access narrow canal boats along the Canal from the Heulwen Wharf.
The trips are offered free of charge to any person (and one carer) who is vulnerable as a result of an illness, injury or disability.
