Welshpool man jailed on cocaine charge

A Welshpool man has been jailed for two years and five months after admitting supplying cocaine.

William Luke Owen, 34, of Sgwar Heulwen, Welshpool, admitted possessing the class A drug with intent to supply back on New Year's Day, 2018 when he appeared at Mold Crown Court last week.

In the early hours the defendant was stopped by police on a bicycle and was found with eight bags of cocaine, with a street value of £400 – the Shropshire Star reports. A total of £1,000 in cash was found at his home. The judge ordered him to pay the £1,000 in prosecution costs.
