One-way work going “reasonably well”

Work on Welshpool’s one-way system is going “reasonably well”, according to Town Clerk, Robert Robinson.

The 10-week project started last week and it is a case of ‘so far, so good’ with high expectations that it will be completed on time.

“The one-way system works are going reasonably well with good time being made to completion,” said Mr Robinson.

“The latest news is that traffic will be unable to access Salop Road from Church Bank (by the Westwood) for, hopefully, two days from 10am tomorrow (Wednesday).

“The diversion route will be posted down Mill Lane and Smithfield Road then to the bypass. Traffic from the bypass to Mill Lane junction will be open as usual.”
