Jehu Road to be shut for a month

One of the town centre’s busiest roads will be closed for nearly a month as part of the one-way restructuring.

Jehu Road links the main street through town to the back road, but it will be closed from May 28-June 21 to allow the correctional work to be carried out.

Emergency vehicle access will be maintained via the diversion, as will access to properties with residents to be notified prior to closure.

Work on Welshpool’s controversial one-way system started last month and is expected to be completed before the main summer rush.
