More one-way evening work tonight

Residents are being told to expect more evening work tonight on the one-way system that could cause disruption until midnight.

A review meeting was held this morning after neighbours complained about a sleepless Tuesday night caused by the work through Church Bank and Salop Road.

It was expected to last for two weeks but contractors have listened to concerns and are looking to limit the disruption.

“Church Bank/Salop Road will be closed this evening from 8pm to midnight. Limited works that might generate some noise are planned. A further review will take place on Friday morning and more more details will be posted then about the weekend,” a statement reads.
