Welshpool pylon exhibition opens

The county-wide roadshow unveiling plans for the massive Energy project that campaigners say will desecrate Mid Wales arrived in Welshpool today.
Representatives from National Grid and Scottish Power will answer questions about the proposed multi-billion dollar plan to link up to 15 windfarms and a planned 20-acre substation to England networks via 50-metre pylons through the Severn or Vyrnwy Valley.
The plans have caused anger across the area with high profile figures including local MP Glyn Davies and TV weathergirl Sian Lloyd lambasting the proposals.
The exhibition goes on show from 2-8pm in the Town Hall.
