Team Paddison completed Day Six of the amazing trek from Land’s End to John O’Groats today.
Welshpool’s Andrew Paddison and his back-up team today completed the 76.8 miles sixth leg of the 980-mile journey from Chester to Garstang
Andrew is using a handbike to travel just under 1,000 miles in 13 days, and while admitting he won’t be the first to try it this way, his difference is that he is a Thalidomider.
“Apart from showing that limitations should not deter you, I am undertaking this challenge to raise money for three cancer charities - Macmillan Cancer Support / Prostate Cancer UK /Bloodwise,” said Andrew.
“Team Paddison owe a huge gratitude to Dark Peak gear who have kindly given us jackets to keep us warm and we certainly needed them on top of the moors,” today he added. “After climbs they are great to keep the muscles warm.”
