Latest roadworks update

 Jehu Road set to reopen on Saturday and work on schedule for July 29 completion of one-way system improvements.

Town Clerk Robert Robinson has issued the following update following a meeting with Welsh Government officers and Griffiths, the contractors as works near completion.

One Way System works update: Thursday 18th July. The following is the latest news:

a) Jehu Road is on schedule to re-open for first thing Saturday morning.

b) Brook Street Monday will have stop/go boards for lining works and will be closed (except for access) overnight for white and yellow lining.

c) Pavement works to widen Union Street (The Inglenook side of the road) will complete by Monday and then works on the moving of the pavement over on the other side of the road will take place taking a few days.

d) Works on target for Union Street/Brook Street to be two way by 29th July.

e) The works in Church Street to the pavement - barriers will be pulled back as far as works allow for the weekend holiday traffic and the traffic lights are planned to be manned to ensure traffic flows are affected as little as possible.
