All set for biggest Berriew Show

23/08/2019 @ 05:26

It has been a bumper year for the area’s shows and Saturday’s Berriew Show is predicted to be its biggest yet.

With excellent weather forecasted, organisers are expecting a bumper entry with horticultural, craft, photography and cooking competitions all attracting hundreds of entries.

There are dog, sheep and horse shows; children’s activities including circus skills; the Mid Wales Axemen; Zorb football and Flyball in the main arena; a fairground and vintage vehicle parade.

Over 110 trade stands, craft, food and drink stalls are also planned with a bare and free parking providing the icing on the cake.

One of those stalls will be manned by the McCartneys Welshpool & Newtown offices, strong supporters of MyWelshpool, who will be on hand to discuss property and rural matters all day, and one of the company’s surveyors will be on the stand during the morning.

Complimentary soft drinks and snacks will be served throughout the day along with a ‘Guess How Many Sweets are in the Jar’ competition to raise some money for the Alzheimer’s Society, which is the company’s chosen charity for 2019.
