Rotarians hand over £1,632

The proceeds from a June concert have been handed over to a charity that works with children in Uganda.

The event was organised by Welshpool Rotary Club with an impressive £1,632 handed over to Sedcu, a charity that supports the education of disadvantaged children in Uganda.

The Rotary Club has supported the charity for a number of years as it goes beyond the normal levels of available education by giving help to children who have special needs, typically because of health or means issues.

“It has a very focussed approach and has been successful in achieving its objectives,” said a spokesperson for Welshpool Rotary Club.
