Monday talk cancelled

A talk on the Early Days of the Automotive Industry, scheduled to be held in Welshpool on Monday, has had to be cancelled.

The meeting had been organised by the Welshpool Area Group, which supports the local Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway, as part of its autumn programme.

Vice Chairman Steve Page, announcing the cancellation, said: “It is very sad that personal circumstances have forced us to cancel Monday evening's talk. We hope that it will only prove to be a cancellation, and will try to re-arrange Ian Hughes' talk for the first months of 2020. Our next meeting will therefore be Trevor Roberts talk on the Cambrian Railways on October 21 at the Town Hall in Welshpool.

"I apologise to anyone planning to attend on Monday for any disappointment and inconvenience.”
