Montgomeryshire MP Glyn Davies goes under the surgeon’s knife today (Wednesday) but has vowed to be back on his feet as soon as possible.
Mr Davies, who swept to power as only the second Conservative MP in a century last year, is undergoing surgery on his back and is expected to be on the operating table for up to four hours.
In a Facebook message to constituents last night, Mr Davies commented: “All the preps are over, ready for the big event! I think it is called a multiple lumbar decompression. Not sure when the post analysis will take place.”
The operation comes amidst a busy time for Mr Davies. Next week residents will vote on both the alternative voting debate and also the Welsh Assembly Government elections. He has also fronted the fight against horrific Energy proposals for Mid Wales which continues to gather momentum.
