Arson suspected at early morning Forden blaze

Police are believed to be investigating a case of possible arson at a Forden home.

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning at a property at Kingswood, Forden when a vehicle suffered substantial damage in a fire which also spread to a garage at the property.

Villagers told MyWelshpool of reports that two men were seen fleeing the scene of the blaze.

Fire crews from both Welshpool and Montgomery attended the incident.

Montgomery crew took to Facebook saying: “Mobilised at 02:01 this morning to a vehicle fire in Forden along with @WelshpoolFire. 1 vehicle damaged by fire and the front of a nearby garage also damaged.”

MyWelshpool has asked Dyfed Powys Police for a comment.
