Police issue urgent ‘be aware’ alert

The local police have issued an urgent alert for residents to be aware of a couple using distraction tactics to access their properties.

Reports have come in from the Llanfyllin area this afternoon but police want other areas to be on their guard.

“Please be aware of suspicious activity in the Llanfyllin area whereby a male and female are knocking at addresses stating that they are there to fit kitchens. It appears they have been attempting to distract occupants and trying to enter the rear garden,” said a spokesperson.
