Community Health Promotion Day

Rowlands Pharmacy holding free community health promotion day on Tuesday.

 

Designed to raise awareness of the importance of health and fitness, Rowlands Pharmacy is encouraging Welshpool residents to visit the pharmacy to get advice on developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

 

The event will allow local people to get free advice on health matters, including blood pressure testing and a diabetes risk assessment. Staff will also be on hand to offer advice on stopping smoking and the new smoking cessation service which is now available.

 

Beth Taylor, Area Manager, said: “With health and fitness at the forefront of many people’s minds our health promotion day is designed to educate and engage the public on health issues affecting the community. We are inviting local people to the pharmacy to try out some of the services we offer and provide them with information about important health care issues and answer any questions they may have.”
