More than a dozen leading Powys athletes and coaches have shared more than £1,600 in grant funding thanks to Powys County Council.
The grant scheme, which is open to athletes living in Montgomeryshire, is given to sportspeople who have qualified or been selected to compete at national level or above in a sport recognised by Sports Wales.
A grant of up to £200 can be used for equipment, competition expenses and coaching costs. The grant scheme is administered by Powys County Councils Sports Development team and applications are assessed by a panel who meet twice a year.

* Maldwyn Dragons Gymnastics – Host a New Cheerleading event
In total, £1,625 was awarded to athletes, clubs and coaches in a range of sports
