Eleven of the Welshpool area’s most talented performers will ‘come together’ on Saturday to perform at a virtual festival to raise vital funds to provide safety equipment for the town’s ongoing fight against Covid-19.
Safe & Sound has set a modest target of £500 to pay for life saving Personal Protection Equipment for our gallant key workers, but we are sure that our fantastic readers can tune in and dig deep, even during these testing times, to support this fantastic celebration of local music.
The night of music will be broadcast live through a Facebook page set up exclusively for the event, and it will get underway at 4:30pm with a performance from the talented Sonya Smith, and come to a close with the popular Steve Edwards doing his thing from 9:30pm.
“It has come together really well,” said organiser, Sallyann Rogers, who came up with the idea to give something back.
“I can’t thank the performers enough for responding so positively and I hope everyone enjoys the music which gives a welcome break from all of the problems that this virus has brought with it.
“Dai Robs has been extremely supportive and ensured we got the fantastic line-up that we have. Thank-you as well to everyone else for their support.”
