Big crowds gather for Cardiff protest

 

Buses headed south this morning en-masse and out man on the ground has guesstimated that at least 1,000 people – most carrying banners – are already outside the Welsh Assembly’s Senedd building.

 

“I honestly fear that they have not created a big enough space for this demonstration,” he said. “People continue to stream in and there is another 30 minutes until it starts. These demonstrators have really done Mid Wales proud.”

 

Assembly Member Russell George will open proceedings before MP Glyn Davies gives a rally call followed by high profile residents including TV celebrity Sian Lloyd. It is expected to last until 1.30pm.
