Second bank robbery man charged

A second man has been charged in connection with the £13,000 snatch raid at Barclays Bank in Machynlleth last Thursday which led to a massive manhunt in Welshpool.

 

Mark Ricardo Lawler, 26, from Olton in Solihull appeared before Llandrindod Wells magistrates this morning charged with jointly committing robbery. An application to remand him in custody was accepted and he will appear at Mold Crown Court on June 3. Micquel France, 24, is already in custody after appearing last Saturday in court and will reappear before Mold Crown Court on Friday.

 

Meanwhile the hunt for a third suspect continues with officers carrying out door-to-door enquiries in the Welshpool area. In addition, specialist search teams have been deployed.
