Saving more lives, one pint at a time
Over two days, 110 donations were made, of which 14 came from new donors following our campaign to support the service. Seven people also signed up for the Welsh Bone Marrow Registry.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Blood Service said that the donations have potentially saved the lives of 330 people or 660 new born babies.
“We had a very successful two-day visit, with 14 new donors coming along, which is a fantastic result and all down to the support shown by the community,” said the spokesperson.
“Thanks to everyone who came along to donate blood at Welshpool… you are all lifesavers!”
