Guilsfield surgery to remain open

The Guilsfield branch of Welshpool Medical Centre will not be closing down during the second lockdown for Wales, which begins tonight.

The surgery closed its doors for four months during the first lockdown earlier this year, prompting a volunteer operation to pick-up from Welshpool and deliver to more than 200 residents in need of medication.

But things will be more straight forward this time around except for one day, according to the practice.

“Guilsfield will be open next week, every afternoon, except for Wednesday, October 28, when we will be receiving 500 patients into our Welshpool flu social distanced clinics,” said a spokesperson.
