HSBC to re-open after Covid closure

Welshpool’s HSBC branch will reopen tomorrow after being forced to close last week due to Covid-19.

A spokesperson told us this afternoon that there were “requirements around self-isolation and staffing levels” but the doors will reopen on Tuesday from 10am-2pm.

“The branch is expected to re-open tomorrow, but will close Wednesday and Thursday as there are some changes taking place from Friday,” the spokesperson said.

“They will also be able to handle more types of query rather than predominantly ‘over the counter’ transactions like paying in and withdrawing cash.”

The bank is expected to increase its opening hours from 10am-4pm from November 30.
