Police renew appeal as they name pedestrian killed in collision

Dyfed-Powys Police have named the pedestrian who sadly died earlier this month following a collision with a car at Carreghofa, south of Llanymynech village.

Margaret Mary Lewis, aged 63, who is from the Welshpool area, tragically died at the scene at around 3.30pm on November 6.

Police are appealing for information and have only released that “a collision occurred between a BMW X1 and Mrs Lewis at around 3.30pm, on Friday, November 6, on the B4398".

“Our thoughts are with Mrs Lewis’s family at this tragic time,” said a spokesperson.

“Anyone travelling along this road, and witnessed the collision, is asked to contact PC Cross 609 at Newtown Police Station, either online at: http://bit.ly/DPPReportOnline, by email at: contactcentre@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk, or by calling 101.
