Vacancies on Guilsfield Community Council

Two vacancies have come up on Guilsfield Community Council, with nominations now being taken.

One of the vacancies follows the decision to retire taken by Cllr Olive Williams, the wife of former MP for Montgomeryshire, Delwyn Williams, after serving since the council’s inception in 1987.

Anyone interested should apply in writing by January 13 to Caroline Turner, The Returning Officer, County Hall, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 5LG.

Should there not be enough candidates to warrant an election, the council will hold the right to co-opt new councillors. 

A spokesperson for the community council said: “This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who wish to become more involved in our village.”
