Pop-Up shops for Town Hall

Welshpool Town Council hopes to fill empty spaces in the Town Hall Market with pop-up shops.

At their last meeting of 2020 councillors heard that there were several empty spaces in the Town Hall Market area and action was needed to attract lost revenue from rents.

Town Mayor, Councillor David Senior said: “This is a great opportunity for people to dip their toes in the water and by paying only a daily rate it means they6 are not being committed.”

Deputy Mayor, Councillor Alison Davies said: “This has been done very successfully in other areas. It also gives charities an opportunity to rent space and offers an opportunity for small enterprises.”
