More additions to Memories of Welshpool
The project is led by local history enthusiast, Alan Crowe, who has this past week added footage of the Welshpool Rock’n’Roll Festival (2004); St Mary's Singers Welshpool snippets; Celebrity Football Match Welshpool (1987); Andrews Fish Bar 30th Anniversary celebrations; Oldford Voices Welshpool and the early days of golf in Welshpool.
“I encourage anyone that has videos or cine film etc of local events to come forward,” said Mr Crowe. “Whether they are a school concert, church bazaar, sports team or whatever, they are all part of the social history of the town and should be preserved and enjoyed.
