Positive news over Welshpool Skate Park

More than six months after Welshpool Skate Park was closed due to health and safety concerns, the town council has launched a survey to gauge interest in a new facility.

The online survey explains that the council is “in a position to explore the options for building a new multi-wheel facility”.

In January, councillors agreed to set aside £10,000 in this year’s budget for a new Park and it appears to have partnered with StreetGames and Powys County Council to move ahead with the plan.

“The findings of this survey will inform the grant application for a new skate park,” the Town Council has stated.
