Nine lambs killed in dog attack

Nine lambs were horrifically killed as the result of dog attacks in a location described by police as the Garthmyl/Berriew area.

All of the animals had injuries to the throat with one found dead in the stream running along the farmland (pictured).

“The Rural Crime Team are investigating three incidents of livestock worrying which occurred over three consecutive days at the same location in the Garthmyl/Berriew area between May 16 and May 18,” said a spokesperson.

“During the course of these incidents nine lambs have been killed. All had injuries to the throat, and appear to be the result of a dog attack.”
