Dental practice sorry for cancellation chaos

Mydentist has apologised for the cancellation chaos that has resulted in readers venting their anger in huge numbers this week.

The Welshpool dentist on Severn Street has been notifying some patients by letter that their appointments have been cancelled without a new date being given, and some even claim that they have turned up for an appointment only to be told that it was cancelled.

Many have struggled for information, so have turned to us to see what’s going on.

We contacted the practice this week and a spokesperson told us the following: “During the pandemic the practice has been inundated with patients who need immediate and emergency dental treatment.

“The practice team is working incredibly hard to see as many patients as possible, but to cope with unprecedented demand we’ve had to make the difficult decision to postpone some routine appointments.

“We apologise to those patients impacted and we would like to reassure them that we will be in contact with them soon to rebook their appointments.”
