End of the Rainbow

Rainbow Recruitment (UK) Limited will cease trading on Friday after finding jobs for more than 10,000 local residents in the Welshpool and Newtown area over the last 24 years.

The news comes after its Managing Director decided the time was right to retire and a company statement confirmed that all current employees have been found alternative employment with no job losses expected.

The statement read:

“The company has not gone into liquation, on the contrary, due to the economic downturn and increasing legislative constraints the Managing Director has decided to retire from the business.

“Rainbow has survived recessions and depression, E-coli and Foot & Mouth, numerous factory closures and relocations.  It has registered over 25,000 people and filled over 10,000 vacancies.  There are few families in the area who haven't called upon the services of Rainbow Recruitment over the last 24 years.  The staff of Rainbow have worked very hard to ensure that all of their current temporary staff have secured their placements; either being taken on directly by the client or through another agency. Rainbow would like to take this opportunity to thank the local community for their support over the years.”
