Berriew Show to go ahead!

After 18 months of regular announcements that village shows would not be happening, Berriew Show has broken the trend by saying it is going ahead on August 28.

Describing it as “a new beginning for us all” organisers say there will be something for everyone on the show field with everyone welcome.

Entertainment includes The Newtown Male Voice Choir, strongman The Mighty Smith, a large dog show, children’s entertainment, an impressive display of vintage vehicles, a superb horse show, donkey rides, a fair, food and drink stalls.

Organisers say there will also be over 120 craft stalls and tradestands.

“Some fun classes will be staged with cash prizes, and details of these can be found in the programme available at local stores and pubs and on our web site and Facebook Page,” said a spokesperson.

Entry tickets will only be available on the gate priced at £5 for adult, £4 for senior citizens and £2 for children.

Gates open at SY21 8AN at 10:30am.
