Christmas week continues at St Mary’s Church tomorrow (Sunday) with the return of Carols by Candlelight.

The 6pm service kicks off a busy week at the church which will include a traditional Christingle which will include a Christmas Eve crib retelling of the Christmas story on December 24 from 3pm.

Holy Communions will be held on Christmas Eve (11.30pm) and on Christmas Day (11am).

“Social distancing measures are in place,” said Rev. Adam Pawley, Vicar of St Mary’s Church. “Hand sanitizer available on entrance and exit and masks to be worn for the duration of the service, as we are a public place.  Lateral Flow Tests before you join us are encouraged.

“A particular thank you to Welshpool Town Council too for arranging for the ramp on the upper steps at the Red Bank/Church Street entrance to the church to be installed for the duration of our Christmas services. This will be your easiest access with a push chair. To enquire about full disabled access, please get in touch.”
