Helping senior citizens to celebrate Jubilee

A series of fund raisers has been launched so that the area’s senior citizens can enjoy a Queen’s Jubilee party this summer.

Entertainer Alan Crowe is putting on a couple of events in the next week or so to raise funds towards the party on May 31.

Tomorrow (Thursday) a night of bingo will be held at the Town Hall’s Corn Exchange from 7pm with donations of bingo and raffle prizes welcomed. Refreshments will be served during the interval.

That will be followed on Saturday, April 30, by a Table Top Sale Coffee Morning at the same venue from 10am-1pm. Anyone wishing to book a table should call 077 8216 6342.
