Five still in hospital after Llanfair school bus incident

Four primary school pupils and a coach driver remain in hospital this morning following the collision in Llanfair Caereinion yesterday.

The police investigation into the road traffic collision in School Lane – the entrance to Llanfair Caereinion Primary School - is continuing today.

Dyfed Powys Police say a school bus and a number of young pedestrians were involved in the collision which occurred at about 3.25pm just off Neuadd Lane, Llanfair Caereinion.

One man and four children remain in hospital and are described as being in a stable conditions. One child was discharged from medical care yesterday.

There were no passengers on the bus.

The bus has been removed for forensic examination and the road has reopened.

Police Community Support Officers and School Community Police Officers are attending the school this morning to provide support.
