The person injured in the Raven stabbing incident on Sunday afternoon has been named as local man Zak Tipton, following the court appearance today of the man accused of attacking him.
Mr Tipton, a 20-year-old chef at the restaurant, was airlifted to hospital following the incident on Sunday afternoon, and the man accused of attacking him, Jed Robertson from South Shields, Newcastle, has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Mr Tipton, a family member told us, was released from hospital after receiving stitches and is on the road to recovery.
Robertson, 27, believed to be a temporary chef at the restaurant, fled the scene with armed officers spotted in Welshpool helping with the manhunt on Sunday evening before he was arrested.
He was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm towards the pub’s owner, David Laycock.
He did not enter a plea today but was remanded in custody by Welshpool Magistrates' Court to appear at Mold Crown Court on June 21.
