Welshpool man arrested following Cheshire pursuit

Officers from Cheshire police have charged three people with multiple offences following a pursuit near Crewe, including a man from Welshpool.

Thomas Kiely, 28, was arrested alongside James Quilligan and Christopher Quilligan in the early hours of Saturday following a pursuit which concluded on the A500 near Audley, Stoke-on-Trent.

The trio have since been charged with multiple offences.

Kiely has been charged with damage to property, affray and two counts of theft.

Christopher Quilligan, 32, of Oates Avenue, Rotherham, has been charged with affray, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, damage to property, driving without a licence, failing to stop after a road incident, resisting a constable in execution of duty, two counts of theft and driving without insurance.

James Quilligan, 28, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of theft, damage to property and affray.

The theft charges relate to the theft of a number of caravans and caravan parts from a storage yard near Winsford.

All three were remanded in custody to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court.
