Amazing Grace!
Grace Johns, also one of the area's top rugby players with COBRA Ladies, completed the strenuous trek last month and also organised a Punch and Puddings evening to boost her fundraising further - all as a thank-you for the care and treatment her mum Sarah is receiving at the Cancer Centre.
Sarah was first diagnosed with breast cancer eight years ago and once recovered she was diagnosed again. She is now living with two tumours on her lungs and has been told her cancer is incurable. Sarah undergoes regular treatment and is determined to live her life as well as she can.
They both presented the cheque to Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator Tarrah Lewis earlier this week.
Tarrah said: “It was an absolute pleasure to meet Grace, Sarah and the dogs. It was clear to see the bond with mother and daughter and also how supportive their local community have been in supporting their fundraising.
“A huge thank you to them from all of us at Lingen Davies.”
