Following the successful launch of Welshpool’s Cycle Month yesterday at Maesydre, young residents have the opportunity to win a brand new bike!
Local business Brooks Cycles has teamed up with the town council to run a competition for children aged between eight-11 who live in the town.
Entry forms are available from the shop on Severn Street, or the council offices, and the best cycle-themed picture in the space provided will win the bike. Entries must be returned by August 31.
Scores of cyclists and hundreds of Welshpool residents enjoyed the launch of Cycle Week yesterday when amateur riders set off from Maesydre to complete the same route which makes up Day Four of the Tour of Britain next month.
The Tour of Britain’s Welsh leg launches from Powis Castle on September 14.
